NASCAR, considered to be the fastest-growing and most popular auto racing
association in the world, continues its long-standing relationship with
Colorado National Speedway. Competitors are offered an extensive list
of awards and recognition through the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented
by Dodge, which encompasses nearly 100 tracks from throughout the country.
Lured by the prestige of the Series, which is the richest short track
program in the nation, many regular competitors travel hundreds of miles
for the opportunity to compete.

All season long, competitors in the seven regular divisions earn points
towards their quest for a track championship. The Late Models are the
speedway's premier class, and no expense is spared at getting these
ultra-sophisticated racers prepared for an evening of high-speed action.
Known as the "Big Bad Boys", their schedule is highlighted by four special
125-lap "Pepsi Super Series" events. ProTrucks have racing chassis nearly
identical to the Late Models, but with bodywork closely resembling full-size
American made pick-ups. You'll find more full-throttle action on the
wide, banked oval from the Grand American Modifieds, the Super Stocks,
the Legends cars, and a host of other unique support classes. On the
figure-eight course, crashes and chaos are all part of the routine for
both the fearless Figure-Eights and the insane Trains. Special events
are a big part of the line-up, including visits by two of NASCAR's top
touring divisions, the RE/MAX Challenge Series and the Featherlite Southwest
Series. Season-long championship battles are determined during the traditional
Challenge Cup finale.
The speedway takes pride in offering its fans a professionally-maintained
facility, with a wide array of amenities. Excellent foods and drinks,
all at a reasonable price, can be found at the numerous concession stands,
and a special non-alcohol Family Section - located in the main grandstands
- is also available. For children under 12, clowns, face painting, and
video games are featured at the free Kid Pit play area, where they can
also register to be a trophy presenter. Prize giveaways are held throughout
the evening to fans of all ages, along with drawings that include winning
a speedy ride aboard a ProTruck for those 18 and older. Be sure to visit
with the drivers during the nightly autograph sessions, and head to
the pit area after the races for an up-close look at all the cars.
Conveniently located only ten minutes north of 120th avenue on I-25
at exit 232; the Erie exit, the track is a short and easy drive from
anywhere along the Front Range. Make plans now to be a part of the speed,
fun and excitement...only at Colorado National Speedway!
